There is road construction on Highway 60 that impacts travel to the Spring Creek MX park facility where the Beginner Ride is being held.
According to the MNDOT website on 6/19, you will need to approach from the West on highway 60.
Paving work began Wednesday, June 19 on Highway 60 when crews began removing the blacktop driving surface between Highway 61 and Wabasha County Road 86.
The paving work will result in short traffic delays with flaggers stopping traffic in one direction, while a pilot car guides vehicles along a single lane in the other direction. Once one direction of traffic is through the work zone, the pilot car returns and guides the other direction through.
Meanwhile, crews continue to replace culverts.
Construction crews are west of Meadow Valley Motocross track, so motorists traveling to the site should arrive from the east. No access is available from the west on Highway 60. Motorists traveling to Spring Creek Motocross Park should approach that facility from the west. A culvert replacement is taking place between the two facilities, so the road is not open between them.
Through traffic on Highway 60 remains detoured.
But local traffic, meaning residents and businesses along Highway 60, is open. Motorists should be aware that the highway is closed at the site of the culvert replacement.
